About the Bluetooth Printer

Connecting an external thermal printer via Bluetooth allows you to automate daily store printing tasks, including issuing customer receipts, routing kitchen order slips to back-of-house staff, and generating end-of-day sales reports.

Before you begin

  • Enable Bluetooth and grant Location Services permissions for EPOS360 in your tablet or smartphone device settings.
  • Paper Roll Compatibility: Bluetooth setup currently supports 58mm thermal paper rolls.
  • Ensure your printer is positioned within a 10-meter (30-foot) range of your POS terminal to maintain a stable wireless link.
  • For kitchen printers located at greater distances, we recommend using a Wi-Fi / Network Printer (IP & Port configuration) instead of Bluetooth to prevent signal drops.

Perform a Test Print

  1. Power Off Printer: Ensure your external thermal printer is completely turned OFF.
  2. Press and Hold Feed Button: Locate the Printer Roll/Feed button on the device chassis control panel and keep it firmly pressed down.
  3. Power On Printer: Keep the button firmly pressed down while simultaneously flipping the power switch to turn ON the printer.
  4. Retrieve Configuration Sheet: Continue holding the button down until the machine generates a physical hardware configuration slip (SELF-TEST profile sheet).
  5. Locate BT Name: Look at the printed slip to locate the BT Name row section (e.g., BT Printer-7FF7). This is your hardware identifier name.

Connect the Printer to EPOS360

  1. From your primary register dashboard interface, tap the More tab icon located at the bottom-right corner.
  2. Select Hardware from the Manage Operations selections list layout.
  3. Inside the Hardware management console screen, tap on Printer.
  4. On the next screen, tap the blue Add Printer bar.
  5. Choose your target hardware integration connection protocol: Bluetooth.
  6. Under Available bluetooth printers, match the identifier name from your physical self-test sheet (e.g., check the selection circle for BT Printer-7FF7), and tap Connect at the bottom.
  7. A green verification badge showing “Connected successfully” will pop up on your screen.

Configure Printer Roles & Preferences
