About the Floor Plans
A well-structured digital floor plan allows front-of-house staff to mirror your restaurant’s physical layout, speed up guest seating and streamline kitchen order routing. In EPOS360, building your floor plan involves creating custom dining sections (e.g., Main Hall, Outdoor Patio, Bar) and populating individual table tiles with specific seating capacities.
Before you begin
- Ensure your mobile smartphone or tablet is updated to the latest version of the EPOS360 application.
- Map out your physical dining floor zones and assign distinct numbers or names to every physical table before configuring the digital grid.
- Every table tile requires a unique table name or number (e.g., 1, 2, T-01). While table names are strictly mandatory for database tracking, entering seating capacity (Pax) remains optional.
Initialize Floor Plan & Create Tables (Tablet)
- Access Table View: Tap Table from the left-hand sidebar to access table view. If your workspace contains no active dining grids (“No Tables Yet” layout display), tap the blue Add Table button.
- Add Dining Section: On the Manage Table layout manager screen, click Add Section at the bottom.
- Configure Section & Tables: Under Section Name, define your physical dining floor zone (e.g., input Main). Click Add Table to generate individual digital tables. Assign a name/number to each row (e.g., 1, 2, 3). Table names are strictly required, but defining guest capacity (Pax) is optional (e.g., change 0 Pax to 10 Pax).
- Save Layout: Tap the blue Save Changes button. A green “Successfully updated section” message will appear, and your table layout grid will populate.
Editing Existing Floor Plans (Tablet)
- Navigate to Table on the left navigation bar.
- Tap Actions located at the upper-middle area of the screen.
- From the Table Actions drawer menu, tap Manage Tables.
- Add new sections, adjust table numbers, or modify seating capacities (Pax), then tap Save Changes.
