About Insights Centre
Data is only valuable if it helps you make better operational decisions. The Insights Centre serves as the advanced analytical powerhouse of the EPOS360 platform, translating daily store transactions into real-time, visual reporting. From isolating exact revenue streams and measuring promotional liabilities to auditing labor costs and tracking target trajectories, this guide covers how to navigate and interpret your business analytics across both tablet and mobile interfaces.
Before you begin
- Comparative Benchmarking Logic: When utilizing the VS Calendar feature to run historical comparisons, ensure your selected date ranges match in length (e.g., comparing 7 days against 7 days). Overlaying unequal time periods will skew performance trajectories and lead to inaccurate growth projections.
- Insights Centre data updates dynamically with every completed transaction. If an active terminal operates temporarily in offline mode, sales figures will automatically reconcile into the analytical dashboard once connectivity is restored.

Net Sales Calculation Formula
The master ledger inside EPOS360 calculates true net operational revenue using the standard formula:
{Net Sales} = {Gross Sales} – {Discounts} – {Refunds}
- Gross Sales: The total face value of all items ordered prior to any subtractions.
- Discounts: The aggregate monetary value of all automated, code-based, or manual manager discounts applied to orders.
- Refunds: Total funds returned to customers for cancelled or returned orders.
